airlock blow out need help!!

airlock blow out need help!!

so 2 days ago i brewed a mw cologne kolsch and like a dumb ass i used a 5 gallon carboy thinkin it was a small enough beer i wouldnt have a problem. so a word to the wise dont primary in a 5 gallon carboy! so what r the chances of an infection?not sure when it happened it was fine when i left to work this morning and when i got home i went in my brew closet to check my babies and there it was. i cleaned the airlock and put it back on and its chugging away again.
primary 1 gluten free pale ale (for a buddy)
primary 2 hop head iipa
primary 3 empty
secondary 1 blueberry mead
secondary 2 blueberry melomel
secondary 3 irish red
bottled belgian wit,bavarian heffe,mexican cervesa

What liquid do you put in your airlock?

on this one i just used purified water.
primary 1 gluten free pale ale (for a buddy)
primary 2 hop head iipa
primary 3 empty
secondary 1 blueberry mead
secondary 2 blueberry melomel
secondary 3 irish red
bottled belgian wit,bavarian heffe,mexican cervesa

I think you should be OK. Remember that your airlock was blowing stuff out of your beer, not sucking stuff in. Is there a chance for infection, yes. But I tend to believe that those things occur before active fermentation begins.

It'll be fine. Especially since it's a small beer: you'll drink it all before it has a chance to go bad!
