Ok, one more question before the big day. How big of a starter should I make? I got my WLP550, and I have the DME and a suitable vessel ready to go. Mr. Malty's pitching rate calculator says 1.5L for a 1.050 OG beer, which is a guess on my part. Does that sound about right? When should I start it, Friday?

I'm sure that's optimal but my guess is that many of us use a quart jar of wort(which is about a liter). If you have the vessel, go for it.
