According to their Facebook page, the Anaheim Brewery tasting room will be open this Friday 4-9, with an official grand opening celebration in July. I'll be there at 5 (it's across the street from work ). I've been watching their construction and it's a very cool place. They've used the old bar from the Covered Wagon bar which used to be in the same building and created a very inviting tasting room. http://www.facebook.com/anaheimbrewery
I haven't had anything. It should be a fun time trying them out. Everyone in the office is excited that they're finally opening. We've been thirsty for a good after work watering hole near the office for a long time.
It was pretty much standing room only about 20 minutes after they opened the doors. I really like their tipping of the hat to the historical stuff, pretty cool.
I *found* myself there again on Saturday night and the crowd was similar. It will be interesting to see how it settles out after the initial curiosity.
I liked the place, personally. The Bruery guys felt it was too sterile, but i had to explain to them that it is part of a revitalization project and they don't hand out money to people with barrels for tables. The beer was ok (well made, just nothing too special) and I think they'll do fine.
