Re: New Brewing Recipe Site

Here's an idea.. Write some import/export routines to support BeerSmith, BeerXML, etc. and this database could grow quickly.

Re: Off Topic: Dryer vent

You want to vent CO, lint and moisture into the garage? You need to install a vent. You basically just need to cut a 4" hole in the wall where you want the vent to exit. The difficulty is directly related to the materials of the wall. 12' is a bit longer than most normal dryer vents, but not a ...

Re: WTF???

Uhhh, wow..... Beer-making in a nutshell: First, you make a sort of soup of malted barley; this is called the wort. You boil it, which releases the malt sugar from the barley. While it is boiling, you immerse the hops, in a cheesecloth sachet, like dipping a tea bag. You leave them in for on...

Actually, he did have other items listed there last week. I think when he updated it to remove them that he forgot to change the total price.

Re: Chugger Pumps

Just an FYI to add to Dan's info... From the long discussion over on HBT, it appears that the current Chugger pumps/heads are a Rev 1 product (that attempted to copy March) and they are working to bring a newer/better product out this Spring. I believe that is the reason for discounting and giving a...

Re: Chugger Pumps

I bought them from his Ebay store. The first SS head I bought was $50. Then last month I ordered two more heads at $40 each. He sent me one SS replacement head and another SS head and pump - for $80 total. Cool guy. Here's the head by itself: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=32...

Re: Chugger Pumps 2

I switched all my pumps to the chugger SS heads and I'm quite happy with them. Even with their rough casting and threads, you never need to worry about snapping the threads off like the March ones.

Re: 2-row only recipes?

Below is a recipe I just did and it turned out awesome. Do this with Columbus/Cascade instead of Centennial/Cascade. Maybe swap in your Belgian Pils for the Vienna, but I'd still add some Cara-Pils and Crystal. US-05 should be fine. ****10-Gallon Batch**** Batch Size: 11.00 gal Boil Size: 13.69 gal ...

Re: Sanke Fermenter Kit -- bad seal?

Do you have some of the Nottingham from the recall? Some of it wasn't fermenting well so they recalled it.

I have the exact same fermenting setup and I have to say that the only negative I can see in it is the fact that I can't see in it!

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Is there any way to fix the uploaded pictures here so they are not displayed in small scrolling boxes?

Also, is there any way to use links to images that don't get their width cutoff like mine above? An 800 pixel width picture should be completely acceptable.
