Re: Grand Opening! May 22nd - Saturday

I'll bring the new BrewStove along.
It will be good to get some input on the design.
(But try to keep Derrin from looking at the welding too close.)

Re: Homebrew Provisions finally OPEN !!!

Eric, The next brew on my schedule is going to be a B iere de Garde. (I'm getting ready for winter.) What are my options for putting together the ingredients? Will you be offering pre-packaged recipe kits? Do you have a recipe book that you can build orders from? Can I email a recipe to you and have...

Re: Homebrew Provisions finally OPEN !!!

Great News Eric!
Glad to hear you are open.
I will be coming in soon to get the ingredients for my next brew.
I have been rather quiet on the board lately due to a family illness.
Things should be settling down over the next few weeks.
I'm working on another Brew Stove. I'll post photos soon.

Re: Building a 3 keg system

I haven't done a brew on it yet. The "burn-in" test was yesterday. The burners do seem like overkill so I am going to try plugging the outer ring of jets. I should be able to fill the orifice with solder using the same Mapps gas torch that I use for sweating copper pipe. Looks like I will ...

Re: Building a 3 keg system

Response to Maltbarley and BackYardBrewer

Maltbarley, this design only requires one March pump. The HLT drains directly into the mashtun without using a pump.

BackYardBrewer, the welder I bought is a Lincoln 180 HD MIG. I found it on line. I hooked up the 220v in my garage and it works great!

Building a 3 keg system

Started the framework for a 3 keg system.
It will burn natural gas. I'm looking for better burners than the ones I have. Any links?
Thank you to BackYardBrewer for providing me some good information regarding what type of welder to buy and some encouragement to weld it myself.

Re: New Homebrew shop in Fullerton

Eric,
Can you tell us the name yet?
How about a website?
I would like to post a link to your website from mine.
You must be overloaded with work, trying to get ready to open.
Do you need any volunteer help?
Success of your new shop will benefit us all.

Re: New Homebrew shop in Fullerton

Congratulations Eric,
If you are doing any TI work and need some free input from an old contractor, I would be happy to come by to offer any information I can.
Over the last few years, the wave of interest in Homebrewing seems to be growing into a tidal wave. Enjoy the ride!
