I would so be at the opening if I didn't have to work that night.
By the way, how the hell is Jeff Williams the Brew Master at O'Shea's? They are not a brewery.

So since you home brew you call yourself a brewmaster? I brew professionally and I don't even call myself a brewmaster, nor is there one in our company! Jeff or "Owen" knows more about beer than anyone on this board, he was my mentor and I learned a great deal from working for him. I know O'Shea's doesn't brew but last time I was there (over 4 years ago) I saw that they sold their own brand of beer in keg format, If Owen is now overseeing that production you could literally call him the brewmaster.
BTW, I hate the term and I think no one should call themselves that!
(just giving you a hard time Brad! Love ya!)

+1 ... My wife will call me that when she drops the fact that I brew ... I cringe because there is so much that I do not know ... Plus, if Tyler doesn't consider himself a brewmaster ... then I am certainly not!tylking wrote:

Love you too. We've had this conversation before. And I don't call myself a brewmaster, that's just a handle on the board that was catchy at the time when I joined the board over 4 years ago when I was a brewtard.tylking wrote:So since you home brew you call yourself a brewmaster? I think I saw something like this in George Fix's book:
BrewTard + BrewNovice + BrewMaster + BrewBitch + Alchohol = BrewPUNishment.

Did anyone go to the reception? I missed it - usual excuses. How was it?
I'll go on a weekeday sometime and check things out.

Re: History of Beer at the Fullerton Museum
Opening night Friday was cool.
The display of beer memorabilia was a little light but it was still nice to see the museum celebrating the art of beer making.
There was a beer tasting inside the museum, an outside bar with two beers on tap, BBQ dinner in the courtyard and live music inside the tent. Add in the perfect weather, and the whole event turned out to be very enjoyable.
