Hangar 24 Homebrew Competition - Due May 15th

Post by maltbarley »

I was out at Hangar 24 on Sunday and saw this flyer: http://hangar24brewery.com/homebrew.htm

No entry fee and the Bruery is a drop off point. It doesn't get much easier than that so I expect to see quite a few BC'ers!

It's actually $5 for the first two beers and then $5/entry thereafter.

See here. (Item #4)

Thanks Pete...I guess I should send more time reading, huh? I am a little surprised that it's not on the flyer, though.

Still, two entries (4 bottles) for $5 is a good deal (plus no shipping! Just drop-off at the Bruery!) And the Grand Prize is for them to brew your beer and take to the 2010 GABF Pro-Am Competition!

Sounds like fun! I'll put in 2 entries!

I've been trying to get together some friends to go to hangar 24. Anyone interested in a road trip?

Just got home from the Hangar 24 comp. They had somewhere around 250 entries, much more than they expected. OCEric and Brew Captain's Kolsch took a 2nd place in that category. I think we had at least 3 category 10 entries as a club, but none of them placed. I got first place medals for my Vienna, Brown Porter, and Traditional Bock. My Vienna also won first runner up in Best of Show. The BoS winner was an IPA. If for some reason they can't brew that beer, then my Vienna will be brewed and served at Hangar 24 and entered in the GABF ProAm competition.
