Too much yeast nutrient?

Post by surfinsoljah »

Hey guys...

I'm helping my brother in law to make a yeast starter and he accidentally put the whole one ounce package of yeast starter into a 2000ml starter kit.

Anyone else done this and had major issues with it? Should I be worried and just start it over?

Cheers,

Kevin

What is the strain and what are you making with it?

Were making an all grain 10 gallon "Blind Pig" kit from B3 and using the California Ale Yeast from White Labs.

IMNPO, worse things could have happened. You will probably be ok, but expect some serious attenuation!!

If you live two blocks from B3 909 then it wouldn't hurt to start over...

Cheers!
