This is all great feedback. Sounds like it makes more sense to build Fermentrack's instead of BrewPis on the potential build day. Building an iSpindel also sounds like a great project to add! If anyone else is interested please respond here and we will see if there is enough interest to warrant an actual group build/homebrew drinking/smoked tri-tip eating afternoon. Either way coordinating a new thread for both the fermentrack and iSpindel builds should be forthcoming for those interested in solo builds.

Had never heard of the iSpindle. Very cool gadget. I would be interested in building one with the group.

I've got a couple of working units, so if anyone wants to check it out just let me know. I also have a current fermentation going on if anyone wants to see the Udibots dashboard.

Active Ferment

The large jumps in the gravity graph are likely caused by my dry-hop additions and moving the fermenter.

They are not examples of extreme accuracy, but are pretty good at giving an indication of the progress.

I think they are probably about $25 each in parts.

I'd be interested in building the iSpindel and maybe the Pi.

I was able to follow almost none of this. That said, if someone is willing to hold my hand and help me go home with a box that tells me what my yeast are doing... that sounds awesome.

I'd be interested in iSpindel. I have a tilt but don't like having to replace the battery after every batch. The rechargeable battery is a nice feature.

I'm guessing you have version1 tilt. The v2 are much easier on batteries.

I noticed on the LiPo charger you listed that it's missing the +/- outputs. Wondering if it should be this one instead?

Sorry,

Yes. That one looks more like the ones that I purchased and will likely fit the footprint on the PCB. I'm not sure if I can edit my original post. But the one I listed probably shouldn't be ordered. When I created the list the one that I actually ordered was out of stock and I thought I linked to a suitable replacement. If anyone got the wrong ones ordered, I'm sorry.

Edited to Add: They do show the one I ordered in stock now.
