Stiegl - Austrian Pilsner

Post by oc eric »

My 4th of July has officially started when a customer, I won't play favorites and name names - ArrogantDan, stopped by with a bottle of Stiegl and to pick up supplies. How cool is that!!! I ***LOVE*** my job!

Pilseners are usually not to my liking, being IMO bland and too dry, which is why I like Kolsch so much. Anyway, the Stiegl is awesome! It has a light strawlike color, tiny tight champagne bubbles, and almost no nose. CLEAN. I don't have the vocabulary to describe the flavor, other than I LIKE it! It's gotta be Pilsener malt and Saaz or Spalter hops, but I could be wrong.

I just finished my glass and the last drop was as good as the first.

Thanks for the beer. Everyone have a FUN and SAFE july 4th!

Cheers!

Good Pilsner is yummy. If you liked the Stiegl, I highly recommend Trumer Pils.
