Stone Brewery Tasting @ Cypress Bevmo 2/6/2009

Post by JonGoku »

I was in my local Bevmo yesterday and got talking to one of the employees about beer. I don't know if this is normal for all Bevmo's but my local one in Cypress does beer tastings every Friday from 4-7PM. The normal fee is $2 and you get to try 4-5 different beers depending on what they are showcasing. Last Friday I hear it was German beers.

Anyways, this coming Friday 2/6/2009 Stone Brewery will be putting on a special tasting for anyone who is interested. I was told it was going to be $4 or $5 dollars, but that they would be sampling almost all the different kinds of beers Stone has. I don't know if I will be able to make it, but the address for anyone interested is...

My friend told me that they had a Sam Adams one a few weeks ago at the one in Orange. Maybe they all do it.

Wish I could go, but I won't be able to make it. If anyone else does, let me know how it turned out.

Cheers.

I was down in SD over the weekend and stopped by Stone on Sunday to check it out. Seems like a great place to bring a date, or have a day out with the kids and relax(seemed like Sunday was family day). It was extremely crowded though, much more than I had imagined on a Sunday so I ended up not getting to go on one of their tours. Also I was surprised that there was only 2 bars with little space to sit...I think in my head I just imagined it to be fit for thousands of people with beer flowing everywhere. I most definitely will have to come back for one of their late night Saturday parties.

Good times..oh yea, I saw there was an AHA rally coming up down there on March 21st as well if anyone from the club needs a ride I got a mini-van lol.

Picked up :
Sawyer Triple
2008 RIS
2007 Dbl Bastard
2008 Holiday Beer
2008 Self Righteous Sublime
Growler of Oak Bastard
Growler of 2006 Old Guardian
