OOps!! - tank implosion

Post by backyard brewer »

Via Dave Moody on Facebook. This is what happens when you try to pull cold water out of a tank using a 3HP pump and leaving the vent closed!! (He didn't do it)

I told them to call one of those paintless dent removal guys and ask, "How long?" with a perfectly straight face.

You'd think there would be some kind of reverse spunding valve or vacuum release valve to prevent ruining several thousand dollars worth of tank.

Too bad pumping hot water back in wouldn't reverse the damage.
