Sept. Meeting 9/21/10 7PM @ Addison HB Provisions/Fullerton

Post by lexuschris »

Hey everyone!

Fall is in the air already and Octoberfest is around the corner! Time to start thinking about your marzens, dopple bocks, pumpkin ales and maybe even a spiced beer for the holidays!

Our September club meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 21st, 2010 @ 7pm. OC Eric has again proferred his homebrew store for our gathering.

Addison Homebrew Provisions
1328 E. Orangethorpe Ave.
Fullerton, CA 92831
714.752.8446
http://www.homebrewprovisions.com

The store has the space, but not the chairs neccessary. So please bring your own folding or lawn chair, plus an extra chair to share if you can. Last time we had just enough to seat everyone.

Please bring your homebrew, mead & ciders to pass around & talk about. Posting your brew's recipe in the club database is a great way for everyone to remember your creation, and match ingredients & techniques to real-world tastings. This is also a great place to ask questions, and solicit advice about your beer.

We'll also have Brewmaster Brad's style presentation & competition updates! Food run orders will be posted seperately.

See you all there!

Can we bring our Barleywine kegs just in case we can't make the barrel filling day?

Any requests for the style presentation?

With octoberfest around the corner, might be a good time to learn about traditional fest beers, both commercial & craftbrewers faves...

Anything would be good tho' :D

Yes, if it is convienent you can store your keg here for the group barrell. Don't drop them off any sooner than the Club meeting, though. Space is at a premium around here these days...

Hi Guys,
I haven't joined the club yet - just joined the forum and have made a couple posts. Would it be OK if I came and checked out the club meeting this month?
Thanks,
Dave

+1
The meetings are open to everyone, only the brew days are reserved for club members and only then because they're held at a private individual's house usually.

I'm unfortunately not going to be able to make any of the club meetings for the rest of the year.
I have night classes on Tuesday and Thursday this semester so I'm SOL. Anyways, if the wife and kid, work, and school don't kill me, I'll continue to troll the boards occasionally and maybe even make a rare camio at a club brew or other event.

Cheers!

Hah! Who said I was beerless? I'm short a bit on homebrew, but that doesn't mean I'm dry. The current case I'm working on is the Sierra Nevada Tumbler, their Autumn brew. A very nice seasonal. I picked it up at Target of all places...

I find myself a little worried that someone refers to a case as something they 'are working on'. I find myself working on an occasional keg, but never once have I had to "work" on a case.... uh oh....
