Who lives in what city?

I've been thinking about how poor my attendance has been to with Brewcommune club meetings, brew days, events, etc., mostly because I live on the border of Newport Beach/Costa Mesa, which is a little removed from where a lot of the action takes place with the club (maybe a lame excuse, but I'm going...

Millenium is a cross between and comparable to Nugget and Columbus, with a higher AA content.

free Millennium hops

I have a good amount of 2011 HopUnion Millennium hops that have been kept very well. I have both pelletized and whole cone hops available. I negotiate for a living, so I'd rather not do it here. How about if you give me a bottle of whatever you brew with them, you can have however much you need for ...

Re: Floor corker for Belgian bottles

Thanks Luke. I have never been up to Steinfillers... maybe I need to stop by. No floor corker, but I've used the Belgian style bottles with the plastic corks they sell at B3. I didn't think about the plastic corks... hmmmm Just make sure you have the correct bottles for the plastic corks. They don'...

Re: Drip tray for keezer?

I purchased my drip tray from http://www.barproducts.com Do a search on the site for "Stainless Steel Drip Tray" The site is sort of hard to navigate, but it will popup in a search. The price is $18.49. I followed the same idea that Sam did with his keezer and drip tray, and used a strong ...

Re: Floor corker for Belgian bottles

I'm getting set up to brew my split batch of Belgian Dubbels. I'm thinking I will want to bottle in traditional Belgian bottles. Does anyone have a floor corker that will handle the Belgian bottles, that they would be willing to loan to me for a weekend... I don't think I will need the corker until...

Re: Portland, Oregon beercation

My buddy just asked for a very similar recommendation. Here's what I told him Cascade is a must Hair of the Dog Deschutes Belmont Station Bailey's Tap Room The first 3 are breweries the other 2 are beer bars  Agreed on all of the places above. Breweries: Cascade - definitely go here if you ...

Re: Swap Kegs / Guest Taps

That's a good idea. I guess you would have to post what beers you have available or will becoming available, and see what others have that you would be interested in. Maybe there could be a shared Google Doc (or do I call it "Drive" now?) that is accessible to those interested.

Re: "The Bowie Bottler"

I own it. I bought the kit with the stoppers, stainless tube and vinyl line. It works as shown and also works for growlers. I can't remember if the kit came with the growler stopper, but you can easily drill your own hole in an appropriate stopper.

6 gallon glass carboys - $30 delivered

Even though I have a conical and sanke fermentor kit, I still find myself regularly using carboys. I like being able to see what's going on during fermentation and visually confirm that the inside is clean. I especially like them for long-term aging. If anyone else out there is as backwards as I am ...

Re: Champagne floor corker?

Yes, they rent the Italian corker for $10/day. I'm wondering more about a champagne corker, but I may rent that wine corker to play with it.

Champagne floor corker?

Does anyone have a champagne floor corker? If so, can I ask your feedback on how it functions, tips, whether you recommend the model you purchased, etc.? I'd like to play around with corking/caging some of my beers, but I have never corked.

Re: Cheap Corny Kegs

Sure glad I bought those 125 kegs when I did! lol Based on the stock market back then, I should have bought more as investments. True. I wish I had purchased more from you at the time. These are only $1.99 more than what they cost when you did that order, so the price, relatively speaking, is...
