Re: Double Walled Stainless Growler Group Buy
I was actually thinking the deal was that I was going to exchange each person's growler(s) for a bottle of his best homebrew. Seems like an acceptable exchange rate to me. Can't promise it will be homebrew, but an exchange of beer for growler is definitely in order. Thanks for the effort you put in...

Re: Water - benefit and costs of RO
I have 4 or 5 water bottles that are "on loan" from the Sparkletts truck that comes to my office weekly. I use those to fill at the water store. At 35 cents a gallon it would take a lot of batches to make up the cost of the RO system. Then you have to change the filters regularly, and the ...

Re: Favorite San Diego Brewery
It was on Diner's, Drive-In's, and Dives. I didn't see the episode before a buddy took me there. It won't disappoint. The Double must have weighed about 3 pounds. I was smart and ordered the single.BrewMasterBrad wrote:

Re: Favorite San Diego Brewery
If you're looking for a burger, I'd skip Slaters 50/50 since you can get that in Orange county. Go to Hodad's. It's an awesome burger! Not sure about their beer list, however.
And go a little early, or there is going to be a line.

Does anyone bottle anymore?
If you still bottle, and need some extra bottles, I've got about 130 bottles that I need to get rid of. they are all clean and without labels (for the most part). I just cleaned out my bottles and the only reason that I am getting rid of these is that I have too many, so I'm tossing the ones that ha...

That looks awesome, Derrin! I'm sad to see you ditched the iBrew, it inspired me to getting into the Arduino. I'm wrapping up my fermentation controller that "borrows" heavily from the code that you posted. I would have had a hard time programming for the rotary encoder without it. Also, w...

Re: Jockey Box - What is better?
I've been told that you have to keep the kegs iced down with a plate chiller if your moving higher volumes. The two tap box that I rented from O' Shea's for my wedding had coils and it worked perfectly without icing down the kegs. Granted the keg's didn't see any extremely warm temps, but my Family ...

Re: Carbonation Tabs: Friends or Foes?
I've used the Munton's Carbtabs and they worked great. I would recommend them over the Coopers drops because they are smaller, and you can fine tune carbonation a little better. The recommended usage is 3-5 tabs per 12 oz. rather than one of the Cooper tabs.
