Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Derrin - can I (and others) make arrangements to pay you for the wheels and have you ship them to Dan? Dan - can you find out who wants wheels to go with their stands and we can all pay Derrin and he can ship as one package? If anyone wants the billet kettle keepers for their stand, I can provide th...

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Dan - I thought you were out of town this week?

I have a Bridgeport mill. I could do the slots in the corner gussets. I don't know if it's absolutely necessary to do the adjustable keg keepers, but it would be cool. I'm sure just drilling them at a set distance for kegs would be fine also.

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Here's another revision of the 14" cutout version (total stand dimensions 18" x 60"). This has corner gussets with a slot and movable bolt w/ spacer that can be used as an adjustable kettle keeper. I have billet spacers (think of a stack of washers 3/4" high, but all one piece) a...

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some feedback on the stand drawings. Specifically, I'm interested in what you think regarding the widths for the kettles/keggles. I am personally using two keggles and a 20 gal kettle (for the boil). The kettle is 18" wide and the keggles are the standard 15.5-16"...

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

The casters add 4" to the overall height. Jon, The second vertical support is overkill. The stands I build in stainless are 16 gauge or .065 wall and have no problem supporting a brewery at all. .120 wall will hold up a truck I know the second support is overkill, but my reasoning was two-fold...

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Attached are two images that are Visio layouts for the brew stands. One is set for 16" wide to support keggles. The other is set for 18" wide to support keggles and regular kettles. the bottom of each picture shows the footprint of both a kettle and keggle and how they would sit on the wid...

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Derrin, I'll take a set of those casters. It looks like it's Kevin, his friend and myself getting these done.

I'm going to post up some dimensions that I did and sent to Dan to get some feedback from you guys.

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Derrin - do you have a pic of those casters? I'm having Dan's friend do a stand for me and I definitely want to put casters on it. Any weight ratings or anything to be concerned with?

Re: Anyone Interested in a Brutus Stand?

Are these only available to the original Brutus spec or can they be made with customizations?
