Re: Rogue Ale House, San Francisco
I was in San Fran about a week ago and wanted to go to the brewery, but changed my mind. I called and asked the location and hours and the man on the phone had the biggest attitude and really turned me off from going there. Instead I went to 21st amendment brewing. It was a decent place. The beer wa...

Re: Upcoming Comps
Is anyone in the OC area going to be droping off bottles for this? I will not be able to make it during business hours. But if someone is going out there, I would really appreicate it if I could drop them off at your house for you to bring out there for me.

Re: WIN a FREE T shirt
Just dropped my two bottles off at the shop. I put them by the back door like you said, in a brown bag with a label attached. These are for the any beer contest though, as they are all grain. Hope I win!

What temp to dry hop at?
I am dry hoping my first IPA right now. I put in the pellet hops yesterday, and it is at 65 degrees. I was planning on letting it sit for about 10 days. two questions: 1. Will the hop pellets drop to the bottom of the carboy by 10 days? 2. What temp should the beer stay at? I would love to have it a...

is a two hour mash too long?
I have a very busy weekend. However on Sunday I will have the right amount of time to brew but it is broken up between a 2 hour soccer game. Would it be ok to throw the mash on at 154* and leave it for two hours? I normally do the mash for 1 hour, what will the difference be like?

Re: Uh oh. (Regulator)
I have a 20# co2 tank that I was debating selling. It was last Hydro tested in 04, so i think that it needs a test. howeve, most places just swap out the tank anyways. Sometimes they charge you the $18 for the test sometimes not. I will sell it though, I have no reason to keep 2 20# tanks. What is a...

Re: New keezer!
I noticed the collar has no inner lining-- aren't you worried that it will decrease engine efficiency? I am not really that worried about it. The kegs are not in that area much (only like 2 inches) and I have talked to many people that have it like this that have not had any problems. All I used wa...

Re: New keezer!
I used 1x6 by 10' pine from home depot. It cost like $7. Then some corner braces and liquid nails. Put a little weather striping on it. That was it.
$25 total for the collar.

LOL, you are dead right Brad. It is not even hooked up yet and she asked about it dripping. I was thinking big deal, let it drip, its in the closet. LOLBrewMasterBrad wrote:Looks good Andy. You might want to think about fashioning some type of drip tray so the wife does not kill you for dripping beer on the carpet.

Re: New keezer!
Thanks guys!
I decided to hinge the whole collar so I would not have to lift the kegs or carboys up another 5 inches. I was lucky that the hinges on this freezer are really strong.
