Re: OC Brew HaHa 2013
I went last year and it was great. Wish I could go this year. I chose the wrong time to take a vacation.

Re: Need help finding a competition
I'd be happy to fill out a scoresheet if you like, and we can even print them at my house! If you'd rather just talk about it, that's fine too. I guess I really better get on that automation project if I'm supposed to be filling out scoresheets while I'm brewing! :happybeer: If you don't mind Brent...

Re: Need help finding a competition
Thanks for the responses everybody. I appreciate it. Since I bottled with a janky home made counter pressure filler (I was so proud of myself for this terrible filler) I don't want to risk having the beer sit around until September. My advice: bring your beer and some BJCP score sheets to Brent's cl...

Need help finding a competition
Hey guys, I wasn't planning on entering this cream ale I brewed, but I like it more and more every day. I liked it so much that I, reluctantly, only have 4 bottles of it. (Kegged it, but filled a couple bottles up in case I changed my mind about entering it). I've been looking on the BJCP website, b...

Re: Stainless Steel Growler $23~
Replacement caps are only $5 dollars. I'm going to get one and experiment around with it. It looks to be insulated, so that may be a problem.
I'll report back whenever I get around to it.

Re: Stainless Steel Growler $23~
I filled a beer the other night and left it in the fridge. After opening it the next day there was a noticeable hiss from co2 escaping, so it does seem to hold pressure well. It was less carbonated then out of the keg though. Later that night it wasn't flat, but the head was gone and it was less car...

Re: Stainless Steel Growler $23~
Thanks for the tip Chris. I'll have to fandangle something together to fill the growler from the bottom up.
I'll look around the forum for more tips on growler filling.
And you could still use that pouch if you want to be stylish~

Re: Stainless Steel Growler $23~
Reading up on this, I do not see a good description of the cap. Does it screw on? Will it hold pressure? It looks like there is a small drinking port on the cap itself, is that strong enough to keep pressure? Just curious... might want to get one.. -_LexusChris The cap that comes with this growler ...

Re: Stainless Steel Growler $23~
Regarding damaging during shipment, I can see what you mean. Mine arrived in a box about twice the size of the growler with minimal packing. My growler wasn't dented, but has a small scratch on the paint (I opted for the black paint). I filled mine up last night and it was a bit hard to tell how hig...

Hi everybody, I've been wondering how to jump into posting on the board and figured I'd just introduce myself. My name is Curtis and I'm sure I've met most of you before, but I'm new to the forums and the club. I've been brewing for about a year and have really been enjoying it. I've only brewed a c...
