Re: Anyone want to brew with White Supote?

Okay, I can potentially pick them up Saturday afternoon, or perhaps early Sunday evening. If not that, it's probably an extra week as I'm out of town for a few days next week. Just need to figure out what to brew... Blonde ale? American wheat? Pale lager? Sorry, been really busy. I would think an A...

I assume she'll take care of pureeing it and storing it in the fridge or freezer for a few days?
She won't mash them but I can refrigerate them for a bit until you can grab them.

Anyone want to brew with White Supote?

My neighbor has a supote tree and really wants to try a supote beer. Supotes are fleshy like a banana but much softer and have a very kiwi like flavor only sweeter and more floral. The fruit is ripe now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_sapote She has enough fruit to puree into about 8 quarts. She...

+1 Deschutes. Had a wet hopped pale ale there, best beer I've ever had. Good food too.

Re: 27th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Compet

After a bit with Google, it appears they were included with the demo and plan to reopen in that location in abut 2 years. 1 article said Bob was on board and holding tight, another said he may open his own brewery closer to Yorba Linda. They were my default lunch place when I worked in Corona. Sound...

Re: 27th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Compet

Glad to see that this comp found a home for the judging to take place. I sure miss Main Street. Is Main Street gone? Main Street was razed in February along with the entire plaza. They are supposedly building an apartment complex and will rebuild Main Street & Lamppost Pizza in a couple o...

Re: Miller's B3 Grain Mill

I use a cordless drill and have no issue with it. I have a motor but decided it wasn't worth buying the pulleys. Yeah, the sheeves on my mill scare the crap out of me. With a 1.5" and 12" setup, I'm always worried one of the kids or someone might get too close and lose a finger. When I st...

Re: Club Meeting - Tuesday Jan. 21st, 7PM at Brewers Hardwar

Move one of those "No"s to a "Yes" ... I plan to be there. Dan Well hell, if Hempy can make it, so can I. I will probably arrive early since I leave the office around 3 and it doesn't make any sense to go back to Corona first. This can be a bad thing since Dan, Derrin, and mysel...

Re: Kolsch feedback

Go to the pet store and get a reptile warming lamp if you need warming. They even make ceramic ones that don't emit light.
