Tried using an adaptor with threads to match a ball lock post...not happy with it Here is a simpler method Use flair quick disconnects and remove QD from line Using a flair fitting attached to spray tank wand, attach to beer line and flush This also allows you to dissemble the QD and clean completel...

Re: Barbed ball lock post for beer line cleaning

Using a pump is certainly optimum way to go
As an option I found a 2 gallon pump sprayer at dome hepot for $10
Added one ball lock post and now have cleaning solution running thru line and tap

Re: Water - benefit and costs of RO

Brent will be glad to know that the first beer I am brewing with RO water is a Porter. :happybeer: Thomas Scientific carries the BrewLab kit, but I did not find the BrewLab Pro: http://www.thomassci.com/Laboratory-Supplies/Water-Quality-Test-Kits/_/DEFD776F-1AF0-4BC0-8AAF-81115A1823ED?q=lamotte%20b...

Re: Water - benefit and costs of RO

Curious Does anyone use a water testing kit eg. LaMotte for water adjustments. It seems that knowing your values would make it somewhat easy to make additions and measure effects so you can actually record values for future cause and effect results. I notice this one has a 4 gallon tank that won...

Re: Water - benefit and costs of RO

Brad, Like yourself, I am ready to invest in an RO unit but with so many on the market, it is daunting to say the least Which unit are you using? I have also tried Bru'n-water spreadsheet and found it to be cumbersome Then found a single page sheet that works very well No need to enter data in multi...
