Re: APA/IPA recipe feedback needed

I use the Mark's Keg Washer for my Sanke kegs and it works great. The only modification I use is replacing the drilled cap on the keg washer with one of these - http://www.brewershardware.com/Rotating-CIP-Spray-Ball-1-2-Female-FPT-Connection.html. My normal procedure is to dump all the yeast and tr...

Re: APA/IPA recipe feedback needed

Getting to the gunk for cleaning is always a problem So here is one more solution After cleaning with scrubber on drill, put about 7 gallons of very hot water into sanke, add PBW or other type of cleaner, then insert this http://www.brewershardware.com/American-Sanke-Keg-Fermentor-Kit-with-Thermowel...

Re: APA/IPA recipe feedback needed

Chris
How are you racking from Sanke to Corny kegs?
If using a pump, the diaphragm may have some gunk in it
How do I know this??? Been there and done that
Fairly easy to open pump and clean, but I did lose 3 kegs of tasty beer

Re: Beersmith 2 and Yeast Starters

Dan
Try this
Add one yeast item to recipe, then set volume to 2L etc
Add a second yeast item and set this starting cell count to what ever the ending count was on first item
I tried this and was able to get up to 950B cells in just two steps

Ok, I will be sure to apply a new thin layer with every washing. I also have had problems with the poppets as well. Usually, I just wiggle the top of the ball lock where the poppet seals, and I can get them to behave. .. usually... The part numbers were from DrDuallys post... I had them in as sprea...
