Re: Firestone Walker's "Wookey Jack" - Black IPA
I'd been turned off to Rye beers lately but really enjoyed Wookey Jack at the Bruery Provisions the other night. Great citrus hop noise with the rye being a spice component and not the main show like so many other rye beers.

Old Wort
I have about a half a gallon of wort in my fridge that I used for some yeast starters the last time I brewed back in January. The gallon was a clean and sanitized glass jar prior to being fulled I used it to step up some starters back in January I'm gearing up to brew on Sunday and plan on splitting...

Re: Using Gelatin to Clear Your Beer
Not that happy with the results of my first round as I didn't see any change in clarity nor did I find any junk settled on the bottom.
I think tonight I'll hit up the other keg and use a full bag of the Knox gelatin unless anyone thinks over doing it is a bad idea?

Re: Portland, Oregon beercation
My buddy just asked for a very similar recommendation. Here's what I told him
Cascade is a must
Hair of the Dog
Deschutes
Belmont Station
Bailey's Tap Room
The first 3 are breweries the other 2 are beer bars
