Re: Meet me for a Drink!
Anyone up for Steamhaus at Dos Lagos in Corona tonight? Checked it out the other day, and they had some pretty good beers on tap and in bottles. I should be there around 6:30-7

Re: Bitch's Brew and Padron serie 1926 #9
Nice review. Like brahn, I am not a big fan of DFH beers, but I may have to give this one a try based solely on your review. I don't have the Bitch's Brew album, but I do have Kind of Blue, so that will have to do.
Kind of Blue works too, or since we are both in Corona, perhaps we can finally ...

Re: Bitch's Brew and Padron serie 1926 #9
Great review!
I saw Bitches Brew at Total Wine but I steered clear of it due to my past experiences with DFH's beers. Maybe I should reconsider. Have you had the Sah'tea, Theobroma, Red & White, Namaste, My Antonia, 120, Worldwide Stout?

Re: Cleaning and Passivation
Ya, that is what i think too. I figured all that swirling of hot PBW should do a pretty good job at cleaning.

Bitch's Brew and Padron serie 1926 #9
This past weekend i was lucky enough to find a bottle of Bitch's Brew by Dogfish Head at TotalWine in Tustin. I was excited to finally find a bottle, as I have always loved jazz, and the thought of the two coming together intrigued me.

Re: Cleaning and Passivation
What about kegs, just hot PBW? I built an auto washer for my kegs, but never know if i should do a bit more. The beer always turns out well, so it must be getting a good clean. I just do hot PBW through a 1/2 HP pump up the sanke shaft and out the gas-in. The pump heats up the 7g bucket of water ...

Re: Cleaning and Passivation
Ya the elbow grease is just not getting it these days in the boil kettle. I need to get some scorches out from the mashtun when a friend tried to step mash, and forgot for a little too long.

Cleaning and Passivation
Hello all!
I just want to ask what other people are using for cleaning their brew system?
Right now I have a 2 tier setup, and when i am done brewing, I give it a quick rinse down and light scrub with a brush. I then heat up some PBW in the HLT and run it through my pumps, mash, boil kettle, and ...

Ya gotta play with the sides vs. the door ideas.
Just don't know if a little aquarium pump would do the job? Thought that a pond pump would heat up too much.

Makeshift freezer glycol system
Hey guys,
I am looking into building a makeshift glycol system. I have 4 refrigerators in my garage, i just keep seeming to collect them. Right now only 2 are running, one is sitting there, and one is a NFG big snapple fridge. ..maybe i should trade one of them out for a chest freezer. hmmmm ...

Re: Motorized Grain Mill completed
Where did you get the motor? That seems to be the only problem I am having. Did you worry about the combustible dust? Did you gear it down or pulleys?

Thinking about hitting up Newport Beach Brew Co. after work. If anyone happens to be around that area.
