Re: Danby wine fridge

It's probably not worth messing with. They are sealed systems that don't typically have service ports. If they end up leaking somewhere, you usually can't find it to repair it. The aluminum evaporator plate can't be repaired if it's punctured, a new compressor is probably more than a new unit. (unle...

Congrats!

That's cool they released them. For as long as I can remember, we always had to wait for the fist person to make it to the fair and look for the results. Or see if anyone got the phone-call invite for a first palce win...

Re: I might actually get to brew beer again!

I'm going to try and work on my glycol chiller today. Also need to do some work on my fermenters. Hopefully I'll get everything working again, but I think I'm going to have to build a new gycol unit. :-(

I might actually get to brew beer again!

Did a wet test on the new system today. Still a lot left to do, but it'll brew beer as-is. WIth the hard-plumbed manifold off the kettles to the pumps using the 3-way valves, I can work the entire process from mash recirc, to sparge to boil whirlpool without ever changing a hose connection. I'll mak...

No. A) trying not to work weekends if at all possible and B) have 2 breweries and a bunch of custom fittings I need to deliver asap so I'll be welding at home all weekend.

Re: Brewers Hardware is Open in Huntington Beach

I can store the jockey boxes, but I'm quickly filling up (8 pallets of kettles due next week) so I don't know if I can store the bar. PM with with how big it is and I'll see. The bar folds flat. It could be stored against a wall. I think it is 4' x 6' and about 3 layers thick (less than 2"). Y...

Sounds like it was a really great time, sorry I missed it. Was planning on attending CBC but missed that too :-( Something to vent about.... It seemed this year, more than previous ones, that there were many non-homebrewers there just to get their drunk on. I enjoy the discussions with fellow brewer...
