ROFLOL!!!! Shureco is a roof rack and side step manufacturer! I just turned into my mom, she screws up names all the time. Shureco.... I meant Shurflo Anyway, I have been looking up various motor control circuits and I was thinking it would be pretty cool to use a motor controller (since it's 12VDC)...

Other than a March pump?

Is anyone using a pump other than a March pump? I know JR was using the little 12VDC Shureco RV pump. Anyone out there find a good brewing pump?

I saw that listing, from what other Brew Magic owners say, that was a $6K system without the other kegs.

It's probably yeast, mold, sediment and trub. It collects pretty quickly which is why you shouldn't wait two years :!:

Nice! I got the OK to buy new kettles and my lovely wife also bought me a Movado Vizio watch that I'm pretty confident cost far far more than I want to know.... But I've commented for a while now that I'd like a really nice watch.

Santa confirmed the kettles ... Whoo hoo!

I decided on the new 26 gallon B3 kettles instead. With our discount, they are like $20 more each, but thicker bottoms, 1 gal more capacity and I don't have to ship them.

Oh and BTW, most of the members here, myself included are always happy to let you come over and mill a grain bill with a little notice. So you're welcome to come run grain until you get yours.

Since I brew with a buddy and we always split the beer, I find myself out more often than not. I also find that my kegs go dry right as they are coming into their own. Since I have enough cold storage space to store 18 cornies I'd like to up production. So Santa is hopefully bringing me 3 of them fo...

I bought a scale on eBay that'll weigh up to 30 pounds and I'm very very happy with it. It was only like $25 delivered.

I also have a CrankandStein 3D 3-roller mill and that is the bomb.

Not sure when I'll be brewing again, certainely not until next year, but shit, you're right up the street if you're in Tustin. You're welcome to stop by, have a beer and shoot the shit. I'll be in Michigan this week though. I like beer a lot, but if it weren't for the gadgets I'd have no use for thi...

Some updates to my fermentation chiller

I've been making some small updates to my fermentation/glycol chiller. Mostly relating to the thermostats/temp control circuits. First I found some pretty neat little 3-wire LED's that have both a blue and a red LED in the same 5mm package. So I'm adding 2 LED's per converted thermostat that'll allo...
