Post by bwarbiany »

Hey guys... Dropoff deadline is tomorrow. Anyone heading that way?

If so, PM me. I can try to get the beer to you anytime tomorrow.

They extended the deadline to the 9th. When I turned my beers in yesterday, they only had 30 entries so far.

So you're saying there's a chance!

I think one of their issues was that the rules stated you had to be an AHA member at the time of the competition. That's true to actually have your beer brewed for the pro-am, but Hangar 24 allowed non-members to compete (they just weren't eligible for grand prize).

Also, they made the only dropoff points in the Inland Empire. I think I'll be making the drive today, but only because I want to eat at Slaters 50/50 in Yorba Linda on the way to or from :-)

Slaters is a GREAT burger joint! Worth the extra $.

Brad, you've got to post a comprehensive list of your eateries. I still haven't made it out to Vahalla Table, but I intend to.

And it was delicious.

despite what the residents of Anaheim Hills (and also Disney Corporation) believe, Anaheim Hills is in fact a part of Anaheim.

Slater’s 50/50 is an awesome place. I’ve eaten there a bunch of times. Don’t freak out but I would recommend getting the peanut butter and jealousy burger with a side of jalapenos. One jalapeno per bite…………delicious.
And just because I grew up in that neighborhood I’ll chime in too: it is in Anaheim Hills!

This thread is hilarious...
Anaheim Hills, Anaheim, California:

It's like IN-N-OUT, the best parts of the place aren’t official menu items

I know, i know...we just like to think we are special. Because Anaheim is such a long city, it does help with describing where, in Anaheim, you are.
