Simple Amber Ale

Post by bwarbiany »

Hey guys... I put this together in a few minutes, looking for a simple Amber ale that would suit the family over Christmas. Need something that can be brewed on 12/7, kegged about 2 weeks later, and ready to drink by 12/25. I think this should be simple enough to come together that quickly, especially since there's no dry-hopping involved. Thoughts?

I think it sounds tasty and you could certainly have it ready on schedule. In my amber ale I like to use about 50/50 2-row and munich which I think gives a really nice toasty, malty flavor. I definitely like mixing crystal malts to get a little more flavor complexity.

Simple Amber - sounds like a good name for a stripper.

Recipe looks tasty.

I had one recipe titled "A Stripper Named Amber".

I figured it would just be interesting to tell a coworker I was heading home to a stripper named Amber, or maybe a few of them :-)

LOL, that's great. I gotta remember this for some of the meads I make this year!

The recipe looks good Brad, I think simplicity is elegance in many cases.

Hope it turns out well.
