Longest Primary & Still Harvested the Yeast?

Post by brew captain »

I just harvested 4 quart mason jars of WLP001 slurry from two caboys after a three week primary. Temperature was a constant 67'-68'. I am a little aprehensive using the pitch. Second gen already. I have a bunch of new WL tubes on hand and a long weekend coming so no problem making a new starter.

What is the longest you let a batch sit in primary and still harvested the yeast with good success?

Cheers!

I've gone with a three week primary and repitched with no issues. It was WLP001
Shut up and brew
