Cleaning Sanke fermentors

Post by DrDually »

Has anyone used Straight A cleanser on fermenters or other equipment?
I put 7 gallons of hot water (122 deg) and 7 tablespoons of cleanser into keg and waited 1 hour
Rinsed then used a bore scope to look at inside...everything was gone and keg was clean
Tip: It works best if keg is inverted. Brewers Hardware sells the sanke fermenter kit which allows keg to be inverted and leave an open tube for gases to escape
