Firestone keg. Which type???

Post by yl_ryan »

Hey everybody, I have a 5 gallon reconditioned Firestone soda keg that I purchased last year. One of the posts leaks at the poppet. I tried replacing the gaskets, but no luck. I was researching the different post styles, and saw that there are several types of Firestone kegs with different post styles.

Any tips on how to determine which kind of Firestone keg I have? There is information on the side of the keg, but not sure what to look for.

Take it in to your LHBS, they will be able to find the replacement for you faster than any of us could. I had to do that with 2 of my kegs i bought second hand. Trust me, you don't want to try and guess. Even better, just take the keg in to the LHBS and have them sell you whichever one fits.
