Is there a plumber in the house?

Post by brianc »

Does anyone here do plumbing or have someone they would recommend? I have a 3-compartment sink that I'd like to see about setting up in the garage next to the washer and dryer. Hooking up the hot and cold water isn't the problem, it is figuring out how to properly plumb it in to the drain pipe / vent (if that is even allowed).

Edited to add: Looks like this is exactly what I need to do. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/video/0 ... 70,00.html. They make it look so easy.

Do you have easy access to an existing drain? There are codes as to how far of a lateral run you can use for the vent pipe, but if you can't get to one and don't want to add another penetration through the roof, they make a device designed to introduce air to the drain but not allow gas to escape.

Just want to give a big thanks to DrDually for coming over on Tuesday and running all the plumbing for this. It's going to be nice to have on brew days!
