Ska Brewing

Post by brahn »

We went to Ska Brewing in Durango, CO this morning. They have a really nice tasting room with about 10 beers on tap. I got the sampler with Buster Nut Brown Ale, Ten Pin Porter, True Blonde Dubbel, Hyper Fierce Gnar Gnar Hefe, and Hoperation Ivy. I had actually requested the Steel Toe Stout but got the porter instead, so I also grabbed a pint of the stout. All the beers were good, even the oddly named hefeweizen which is brewed with pineapple and coconut. I thought it sounded atrocious but I tried it anyway and it was actually pretty tasty. The wet hopped hoperation ivy was my favorite, very hoppy and delicious.

If you're ever in Durango or someplace else where you can find their beers, I recommend picking them up. They've got a mixed 12 of cans with their Blonde, IPA and ESB that are also all very good.
