2015 Club Membership

Postby JonW on Sun Feb 15, 2015 11:01 am

This is a reminder that paid Brewcommune membership for the 2015 period are now due. If you haven't been a paid member in the past or haven't paid yet for this year, please think about doing so. We will be removing individual access to the paid member area very soon if your membership is not renewed by 3/1 - so don't delay!
Please see this page for membership: http://www.brewcommune.com/join-the-club.html

Brewcommune is now a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization. As such, the IRS now dictates that our meetings must be closed to non-members UNLESS they are a guest of a member. This means that all non-members must be adopted as a guest of a member at the beginning of each meeting.

Some of the benefits of being a member include:
- Access to member-only events
- Access to member-only club brew days at members homes
- Access to the yearend holiday party
- Ability to attend the Southern California Homebrew Festival to serve and enjoy homebrew as part of the Brewcommune group.
- Ability to participate in club barrel brews
- You help support style presentations at our meetings
- In addition to these benefits, dues also help support the cost of club insurance (through AHA), pay for the style presentations at our meetings and meet other costs for equipment and supplies as needed.

The January meeting had a great turnout and there were several new people in attendance. For those of you that were new, I do hope you enjoyed the company, discussions and presentations.

For a copy of the meeting notes, please see Tim R's (Blackcomb) write up on page 2 of this forum post: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2946

There are club brew days being scheduled for the April, June & August months, but we still need a host for February.

If you can host the February club brew day, please reply in this forum topic (in the members only area): viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2964

SCHF is being held May 1-3 at Vail Lake in Temecula. SCHF is one of the best events we do every year and is enjoyed by everyone attending. As a group, we have 13 camp sites this year. There are still camp sites available if you would like to join. Additionally, some of those already with sites may have space available on their site to host a tent. If you've not signed up to go, it's not too late. Please visit this forum topic (in the members only area): viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2919
