Meet me for a Drink!

Post by Brewfoo »

Rico and Nico (rhyme not intended) were planning on meeting tomorrow for a drink. Rico wants some of my kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass for a wit beer this weekend and I may find the time to meet up with him to pass on the goods.

Over at another message board, I had a part in starting what was called a "Beer Signal." A thread was started for the sole purpose of just posting up a request to meet up someplace and have drinks together if you were free. It could be spontaneous or planned but the idea was the thread was the "bat signal" for us drunks to meet up. Sounds silly but it worked.

Anyways...I just thought I could install the "Beer Signal" here at the Commune too.

Rico was thinking of going to the Bruery tomorrow but no real plans have been confirmed. Nico is always looking to go drinking someplace, no matter who it's with. So, there you go. I just finished installing the "Beer Signal." Go ahead. Someone try it out. :happybeer:

To support this effort I made this topic "sticky". It should stay at the top of the Cheers! forum.

I expect you will see several Brewcommuners (nay Communists!) on any given day at the Bruery. Lot of our member seem to gravitate there.

Did you know Pat was our Vice President before turning Pro? Kevin served the same post under the self proclaimed title "Sexy Ass VP". You will see Tyler post here too as they all have been very generous to BC.

I'm new here and don't know very many Brewcomrades. Please say hey if you see me sometimes at the drinking hole. Gotta run...trying to make it to the next Capt. America at noon.

Is anyone going to the Bruery later today? Beer signal?

Signal is ON for The Bruery tonight! Assuming all goes well with this server install I should be there around 5:30 tonight. I'll be the geeky guy in the green shirt with a bicycle. I only point this out since, i dont know many of you. So if you are there say hi!

Capt. America was right on. It shouldn't disappoint anyone who was already going to see it. Great production, effects, acting, and the story set-ups the "Avengers" next year. BTW, stay for the end credits for a secret scene and the preview of the Avengers. K:-)

I will be at the Bruery to answer the 1st Beer Signal via the B.C. I need to stop at AHP first with some friends and then I will try to meet Grico to give him some lime leaves.

Just got home about an hour or so ago and wanted to post some pics of the first B.C. Beer Signal. I got a call earlier from my work friend and brew apprentice, Tommy, who wanted to go visit AHP for some supplies. I volunteered to drive him and our other friend who was interested in homebrewing to go see Eric and then to stop at the Beer Signal.

I was only expecting to see Rico so I could hand off the lime leaves and lemongrass (sorry Rico, I was too drunk to give you the lime fruit peel in a smaller bag) but saw a few others...

The Flip Truck was there serving up their famous sliders.
The meat was a bit rare in the center. It really didn't matter when you're drinking 9.5 % ABV "Cornballer."

I had only two pints. The first was 9.5 % and the second was 8.5%.

Just when I thought we were leaving soon, my transient friend, Rick, showed up.
He's not really transient, but he does own a lot of cats.

Tommy was worried that his wife would smell the alcohol on his mouth, so I drove him to my house and had my dog lick it off.

Thank you for the vote of confidence. The only qualifier in my resume is that I'm Asian and I have a camera phone.
