OC Brewers Guild Festival

Post by PMR »

Hi All,

It's been a long time! Hope things are going great for you all.

The OC Brewers Guild is putting on a Festival on Saturday, June 11th from 5-9pm at the Fullerton Arboretum to kick off OC Beer Week. We think it would be awesome to have a few booths for homebrewers to pour their beer.

Would BrewCommune be interested in having a booth there?

Cheers,
Patrick

I think this would be fantastic if we could have a booth!
I would volunteer but I will be at NHC that weekend.

Yeah, this sounds like a good place for us to "represent".

Has anyone heard any additional info on this?

Edit: I sent BrianC a note to see if he can ask Patrick about the status of this.

I got the signup for this festival in email today (as an attendee).

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/oc-brewers ... f=BrewHaHa

Limited number of VIP tickets available TODAY only at a discounted price $60/each, instead of $75/ea.

I bought mine for Trang & I and it sounds like some great beers will be on tap!
- Anaheim-based Noble Ale Works, recently crowned World Beer Cup 2016 Champion Brewery and Brewmaster, will be pouring all three of their World Beer Cup winners: "I Love It" IPA, "Gosebusters", and "Nobility".

- Anaheim-based Bottle Logic Brewing will be pouring their "Fundamental Observation", a barrel aged imperial stout with vanilla beans, which is currently ranked the 24th best beer in the world by BeerAdvocate.com.

- Fullerton-based Bootleggers Brewery will be pouring "Fuzzy Ninja", a Black IPA, a 2016 silver medal winner at the Los Angeles International Beer Competition and bronze medal winner at the San Diego International Beer Competition.

- Costa Mesa-based Barley Forge will be bringing a brand new offering, "Le Gard Pas", a biere de mars, as well as "One Louder", a double IPA featuring the elusive Nelson Sauvin hops.

- Santa Ana-based The Good Beer Co. is pouring "Orieta", a dry hopped gose-style beer with lemon and lime zest, as well as special pours from three liter bottles.

- Placentia-based The Bruery will be pouring "Black Tuesday", a 19.9% ABV bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.

- Several breweries, such as Barley Forge, are making special, one time batches with ingredients grown at the Fullerton Arboretum

BrianC copied me on an e-mail he sent Tuesday to Fauna at the OC Brewers Guild & Patrick at The Bruery asking for info on us serving at the festival. I've not received a reply from them.

I followed up with Fauna & Patrick today and got a quick response:
Hi Jon,

I’m so excited that BrewCommune is up for pouring at the 1st OC Brewers Guild Festival!

Fauna has more details than I do, and she’ll get back to you before Tuesday. In general terms, BrewCommune will have a 10’ x 10’ area with either a 6’ or 8’ table, so I’d bring however many beers you’re able to round up, and what can be served in that area. You’d be able to fit about 2 jockey boxes.

Cheers,
Patrick

I've already asked the question about how many people we can have. Waiting on reply.
