Bridge to Nowhere Hike, Saturday 3/19

Post by bwarbiany »

Hey guys... Starting a new thread for this one. Looks like I have a crew together to do this hike on Saturday.

I haven't done this hike, but it's been on my list for a while. It's not overly strenuous. The group I've put together would be probably considered "intermediate" as far as hiking is concerned, I'm guessing we'll average north of 3 mph. So factor that in if you're significantly faster or slower.

It might be warm, and there ARE water crossings, so bring sunscreen, extra water, an extra pair of shoes that you don't mind getting wet, a towel, snacks, etc.

Still trying to figure out a start time, and then as my buddies and I are Boilermakers, will plan on heading down somewhere to watch Purdue in the 2nd round of the tourney. (Assuming they win their game Thursday, but they really should...) So if you're also interested in beer and college basketball, the festivities will continue.

Tentative start time is probably about 9:30 AM, but that may be adjusted pending the basketball schedule. So stay tuned as I'll be updating this on Friday.

Anyone interested?

Target location to watch the game is currently Slater's 50/50 in Huntington Beach.

Even if some of you can't or don't want to make the hike, I'll provide the time of the game if you want to come out and watch it.
