Anaheim Brewery open this Friday

According to their Facebook page, the Anaheim Brewery tasting room will be open this Friday 4-9, with an official grand opening celebration in July. I'll be there at 5 (it's across the street from work ). I've been watching their construction and it's a very cool place. They've used the old bar from the Covered Wagon bar which used to be in the same building and created a very inviting tasting room.

I heard they had a soft opening last week. Have you sampled anything yet?

I haven't had anything. It should be a fun time trying them out. Everyone in the office is excited that they're finally opening. We've been thirsty for a good after work watering hole near the office for a long time.

I've been to both of the soft openings. The California common is good.

It was pretty much standing room only about 20 minutes after they opened the doors. I really like their tipping of the hat to the historical stuff, pretty cool.

I *found* myself there again on Saturday night and the crowd was similar. It will be interesting to see how it settles out after the initial curiosity.

Funny when one finds themselves places...

I liked the place, personally. The Bruery guys felt it was too sterile, but i had to explain to them that it is part of a revitalization project and they don't hand out money to people with barrels for tables. The beer was ok (well made, just nothing too special) and I think they'll do fine.
